PROJECT #1 - SUMMER POSTER COLLECTION

To create a poster, based on the specifications listed below, that contains a positive message that would make people laugh or smile. The poster must contain type of some sort, which could be in the form of lyrics, quotes, or anything with letters on it! The posters will be printed and hung around Edmonton as well as displayed on this website.

DEADLINES

Register to participate in the collection: April 26th, 2011
Submitting artwork: May 15th, 2011
Hanging the posters: June 21st, 2011 (Summer Solstice)

THE SPECS

Poster Size: 12”x18” No Bleed
Colours: 4/0 Process

Content: Must contain ‘The Hee Haw Collective’ Logo (files will be provided) at a minimum size of 1” square, the website (www.heehawcollective.com) and the designers’ first and last name. We will provide space on the website for each artist to include any additional information about themselves that they would to share.

THE RESTRICTIONS

This is a not-for-profit collection of posters. They are not being made to promote any one business or to be sold as prints. Their purpose is to show off the talent this city has to offer and to give designers a chance to show what they can do. So, no company logos on the posters please :)

THE OUTCOME

In the end, 20 posters (10 copies of each design) will be produced and hung about Edmonton. To ensure that this first collection is top notch, and to make it affordable, only the 20 best posters submitted will be produced.

THE COST

NOTHING! Not in terms of dollars and cents anyways. All that will be required is the time to produce your design. All of the printing will be paid for and there is no cost to submit your design. We hope this draws out the best of the best.
